In BlueScanner you scan for Bluetooth devices (mobile phones with Bluetooth turned on) that are near by. You can use BlueScanner to spy on who are close. For every new Bluetooth device you find, you gain experience points that helps you level up and increase your global online ranking. You will also be able to see total number of players out there scanning for Bluetooth devices and the total number of found Bluetooth devices.

The application needs you to enable your Bluetooth in order to work. To find Bluetooth devices you need to get out among other people, in the street, in the subways etc.

Flurry Beta Tag removed after 300 developers use Flurry Analytics in first 60 days

[ad#goog]

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 26, 2009 – Flurry, a cross-platform mobile application analytics provider, rang in the New Year with over 300 developers using its free service within the first 60 days of launching its Beta.  Today Flurry is making available its free service to all iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Java ME developers as well as providing a demo with live data for developers to preview the service.

With new markets like the App Store reporting over 15,000 available games and applications, developer competition for consumers is fierce.  Flurry’s easy-to-integrate technology allows developers to gather live consumer usage data to improve their products, increase user retention and compete more effectively in these new markets.

“Rapid adoption of Flurry Analytics validates we’re solving a significant pain point for game and application developers.  The response has exceeded our own expectations” said Flurry CEO, Simon Khalaf.  “With more platforms supported than any other mobile analytics provider – and new features being added all the time – Flurry offers the most complete solution on the market.”

During its recent Beta, Flurry stress-tested its service for aggressive and reliable scaling.  “As a company whose legacy includes handling millions of mobile emails, we are using our experience to smoothly scale our back-end in order to satisfy the sharp demand for Flurry Analytics” said cofounder and CTO, Sean Byrnes.  “Flurry Analytics has already supported millions of user sessions and has been put through high volume testing to prepare for its next phase of expansion.”

Among the most powerful new features available is the ability for developers to track custom user events within games and applications.  Similar to Google Analytics, but for mobile applications, developers can monitor custom-defined user actions within their applications to better understand how their products are used and where to make improvements.  Comparing user behavior and application performance across different versions enables teams to perform reliable A/B testing.

PostHeaderIcon Messmo : Send FREE SMS and FREE picture messages

What is messmo ?
messmo is a new TXT messaging application that lets you send both normal SMS as well as free TXT messages to messmo users.
[ad#chi60]
What do you mean send SMS ?
If messmo sees that the recipient of your TXT message is not a messmo user it simply tells your handset to send the TXT message as a normal SMS. You pay your normal SMS cost.

What if they are a messmo user ?
Great question ! You and your friends can TXT each other and not pay for any messages.

OK, what is the catch ?
No catch. At messmo we believe that it is time TXT messaging made it into the 21st century. Also when you look at TXT messaging the way messmo does, you can do lots of other interesting things with TXT messages.

What interesting things ?
Well you can create Chat Groups. With Chat Groups you can create your own broadcast groups on your mobile phone and invite your friends to join. And of course add attachments containing pictures, music, videos etc.

What else ?
Would you like to send and receive email ? Would you like to receive email from your favourite sites on your mobile phone AND also receive the email at your normal email address ? messmo can do both. (Hint) Sending email to and from your phone with attachments is a great way to upload and download photo’s and music.

Can I access other Web 2.0 services ?
Absolutely. Check out the Facebook application. Upload photos, posts, message and more to Facebook.

Do I need the mobile Internet ?
Yes, messmo uses mobile Internet in the same way as email and IM to your phone. If you haven’t got mobile Internet check with your mobile operator.

Will using messmo result in charges ?
Your only other charge when using messmo is for your mobile Internet connection. If you send a messmo TXT to a non messmo user, then messmo will tell you that is being sent as a normal SMS or EMS from your phone, hence you will pay for the SMS or EMS as you normally would.

So I should get all my friends using messmo ?
Good idea. Not only Free TXT’s when you send between messmo users, but also you can send attachments such as ringtones, pictures, video’s, music etc to reach other. A bit like having the best of email and a Free TXT service combined on your phone.

How do I get messmo ?

Simply go to
wap.messmo.com on your handset and follow the instructions.
