Microsoft exchange email hosting
We have been talking about mobile phones for a long time. As or forum is talking about much more than just mobile phone I thought about talking about some other issue we talk about in our forum. So here is one post Off beat:
In this day and age, email has become an important dial tone businesses as oxygen is to the brain. A lot of important and sensitive business information is done via email each day. In an Ecommerce business environment, order receipts and delivery notifications are often sent through email to it’s buyers. A corporation with multiple offices and sales departments may send important tasks or sales results via it’s secure email network. The possibilities of email are endless, but they all share one important element: It has to be secure and reliable with uninterrupted delivery.
Managing and composing emails can take time and traditionally required a person to be connected to a secure server at home or at office. However, Small Business owners are busy people – they take on multiple responsibilities such as meeting with clients, managing employees, setting strategic goals etc. not to mention out of town business travel. In these situations, access to a secure server may not be readily available.
When you are stuck at the airport waiting for your scheduled flight or have a gap between meetings, a hosted solution with Microsoft Exchange Email can bridge that gap. With the latest technology such as “RPC over HTTP” or “secure Outlook Web Access” (OWA), you can safely log into your emails, delegate tasks to subordinates, communicate with your customers and partners, check and update your calendar and share it with designated colleagues, and much more. You can even synchronize your PDA and handheld devices to read emails from anywhere.
In conclusion, just as you would not think of running your business without a telephone, the same applies to conducting your business on the web. Email is the “dial tone” for your business on the web. Your customers can use email to effectively communicate with you and vice versa. However, email carries inherent risks such as viruses and spam. These have been on the rise as internet users grow from year to year.
A good secure email provider (also known as an Application Service Providor or ASP) should offer content filtering and virus detection along with email services. Microsoft Exchange 2003 is the email platform of choice for many companies. This goes beyond traditional email services and opens doors to exciting new features that can potentially enhance productivity and growth within an organization. Our (localweb.com) clients’ that are utilizing Microsoft Exchange hosting are as diverse as can be – from few users in a small business to hundreds of users in large corporations and government sectors. Another neat thing about this kind of hosting that fee is largely user-based. You can add / delete users any time you want unlike traditional virtual hosting where fees are based on web space and other features. The outstanding benefits of Microsoft Exchange email hosting are discussed below:
1. Cost savings
It comes down to business economics. In- house email administration costs include the cost of owning hardware, software licensing fees, skilled administrators and training. Outsourcing email administration is an attractive option for many business owners as the cost per mailbox (email user) is a fraction of the cost. Typical costs per mailbox user are in the range of $10 to $20 per month, whereas the total cost of ownership, should you wish to run your own Exchange mail server in-house, can cost you tens of thousands of dollars in server hardware, software, license and labor costs annually.
2. Check emails anytime/anywhere
Retrieve and respond to emails remotely using a computer and internet connection. This is done via Outlook Web Access (OWA) in a web browser, or secure “RPC over HTTP” on your notebook, or “ActiveSync/Outlook Mobile Access” or Blackberry Exchange Server” for your PDA devices.
3. Collaborate effectively
Microsoft exchange email hosting comes with features such as Shared Calendars, Shared contacts, Public folders, Meetings scheduling, Tasks management. Some of the benefits are:
* Information is centralized in one place and can be accessed by other designated team members (access can be reduced to authorized personnel only). This provides for better communication and reduces redundancy.
* Tasks can be assigned and completion status checked online.
* Meetings can be scheduled. Availability of attendees as well as meeting rooms and equipment can be checked online and booked.
4. Securely Store data
Information can be distributed across an organization using Public Folder feature. You can designate who has access to which files or folders, and what type of access they will have (read/write access, read-only access, no access, etc.).
5. Wireless Exchange Email hosting
Business professionals can keep it in touch with office and access information on servers remotely using their handhelds such as the Treo, Pocket PC, Blackberry, and other PDA devices.
This feature is particularly attractive to attorneys, sales professionals, and other professionals “on the go” that typically spend a lot of time away from their desks and don’t want to miss critical appointments and messages.
Mobile Access Functionality
Windows mobile extensions are built into Exchange Server. Exchange Outlook mobile access supports mobile devices browsers. You can then check your appointments, schedules and other important messages from mobile devices such as PDA, Blackberry etc.
RPC over HTTPS – Getting seamless secure connectivity to your outlook email RPC over HTTPS is a cutting edge technology. Microsoft Outlook 2003 users can connect to their mailbox on the Exchange Server securely without requiring a separate Virtual Private Network (VPN), over a secure encrypted SSC connection.
Benefits of outsourcing Microsoft Exchange Server Hosting To American Data Technology, Inc.
1. Reduce costs of training IT staff on complex Exchange server administration.
2. Eliminate expensive licensing fees
3. Professionally engineered and secured hosting environment in a Class A data center.
4. Easy upgrading, deployment and administration
Tips to Know when u have a Symbian
Here this post is submitted in our forum by one of our member Waleed0785:
Based on personal experience and getting
tips from various forums on the Web, I present this list that may be useful for users of SymbianS60 phones N series (N95, N80, N73, N91, N93, N93i, .. etc. ).
>>>My phone is turned on or not on the home screen logo “Nokia” what I can do?
A common problem sometimes just because a problem occurred after installing an
application or by other circumstances, what is certain is that if there is a way to fix it, starting from a Hard Reset
Pressing the keys at the same time:
- 3 – Call key – (Green) – Power key
To achieve this the phone to make a full reset, this means they will lose all programs installed on
the phone, Contacts, Calendar, etc…. only the files on the memory card were intact, some apps that are installed on the memory
card is installed automatically after you start the phone .. but it is a significant loss given that our phone was used again
>>>I installed an
application and not working properly, Why?
[ad#goog]
The reasons for which an
application will not work properly you may be several.
The first thing to check is whether the application is compatible with your phone, remember that, for example applications
Symbian S60v3, are not compatible with previous versions. (The same version of software installed on the Nokia N90 can not install it on the N80, for example).
>>>
My phone displays SYSTEM ERROR, what should I do?
Turn your phone into a “fail safe”.
This is done by pressing the “pen” while leaving the device and turn tight until you ask for the PIN.
Remove the phone’s memory
card, Turn it off and turn it on again. If your phone works fine, the problem is in the memory
card. Formattingthe
card and the problem is very likely that this resolved.
Removing the
card even if the problem persists, you have toreformat
the phone. There are several types and formatting codes areperformed by entering the mobile phone keypad:
Codes:
– * # 7780 # -> Restore the original settings of
the phone
- * # 7370 # -> Soft format, but restores the software keeps your settings, contacts, messages, etc..
>>> My memory
card is locked, how did you fix this?
MMC seeks to store the file on the C: drive using any file manager (SeleQ, Fileman, FexPlorer, ProfiExplorer.) Etc.
Rename the file and put the extension. “Txt”, and the password will be open inside.
Another option is to format the memory
card with a
card reader on your PC. (This will remove all data from the memory
card).
>>> Memory “in use”
My phone is full What happens?
Probably you have some
application is open in the background. ”
To test simply to stop pressing the “Menu” and you open the listof running applications. Select the
application you want to quit andpress “C”.
>>> How to turn your phone into a “fail”?
To start
the phone in “fail safe” you have to press the “pen”while turning
the phone and let it down until you ask for the PIN code.
>>>Why can not I send files via bluetooth?
The new firmware updates can not send files to be “protected” (SIS and JAR) via bluetooth. To do this you have 2 options:
1 – Rename the file you want to send the extension and change them to gif, jpg, etc..
2 – Try using “ProfiExplorer” or “x-plorer. It is a file managertype FexPlorer “jumping protection and allows you to send such filesvia bluetooth.
>>> Why can not I uninstall an
application?
Normally, restarting
the phone to solve the problem.
If even so, could not uninstall the
application, probably because the program is in use.
Instálate in a mobile
application that lets you finish running processes (AppMan, for example).
Terminate processes that are running the
application you want and you can uninstall uninstall smoothly.
installed an
application (TomTom, for example) and the galleryof images I have been filling this
application. Can I delete them? Arethey necessary?
Normally, all images are copied to install an
application are required and can not be erased.
The solution so you do not go in the gallery is very simple.Simply dial the images do not want to be out in the gallery as”hidden.”
You can do it from Windows and a
card reader:
Right mouse button over the image and selecting “Properties” and check “Hidden” in “Attributes”
You can also do so from the same phone with a file manager (FexPlorer, ProfiExplorer.), Putting the attribute “Hidden” file.
>>>The PC Suite does not connect me with the mobile what?
The first option is to uninstall the PC Suite and reinstall it.
If you still not connect, try to put this command in Windows:
- Regsvr32.exe% Windir% \ System32 \ Ole32.dll
(Go to “Start / Run” and the window that you type this command leaves)
Often, the PC Suite, when installed, this book does not register correctly and connect it to your PC with your phone.
